What happens if I go over my allowance?
There will be a change order issued for the difference between the allowance and the actual cost, plus 15%.
How often do you take draws?
Typically, a draw is taken at the beginning of each month. Depending on how quickly the project is moving, it could be twice a month.
How much do I need to give as a down payment?
Between 5-10%, of the contract price, is customary.
How will I know when I need to have selections made by?
Once contracts are signed, and the permit is issued, you will be given a "To Do" list. This will list your allowances, vendors you are to speak to, and the date the selection needs to be made by.
Can you build my home on my lot? And do you have any lots available?
Yes, we will build on your lot, and we also have lots available in Arbor Run, Apple Grove, and McNairy Point.
Do we have to choose one of your plans?
No. We work with a designer locally who can either alter any plans we have, or design one for you. We are also a preferred builder of Frank Betz (
www.frankbetz.com).
Will you build outside of Greensboro?
Yes. We will build anywhere in the surrounding area.
